The boards are finished with a food safe protective wax.

Use as a decor piece or to serve up a seasonal spread. Finished in food safe wax. Each handcrafted board has unique characteristics brought out by the natural beauty of the wood grain.
As with any wood board, use caution when used for serving food. Discoloration can occur from meats, cheeses, and berries. Never submerge the board in water. Use a damp, soapy cloth to clean. Dry promptly. Over time the wood may lose its luster. If you use the board for cutting it will age the board. Simply apply any food safe wax or oil to condition the wood and it will bring back the vibrancy of the wood. We sell our handmade wax that is used to finish all of our boards. It is great to have on hand to protect the beauty and finish of your boards.
